Description:

Under the direction of the Energy Resources Specialist III (Supervisory) in the Demand Side Grid Support (DSGS) Unit of the Reliability Reserve Incentives Branch in the Reliability, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization Incentives Division (RREDI), the incumbent will perform work of a complex and sensitive nature in a wide variety of consultative and analytical energy assignments relating to and supporting the offices’ efforts to develop, implement, and advance statewide grid reliability and load flexibility. The incumbent also provides support to programs and projects with other branches in the RREDI Division and other California Energy Commission (CEC) divisions.
Training & Development Assignment may be considered for this position.
Minimum Qualifications (MQs): The MQs for this classification can be found at Energy Commission Specialist/Supervisor (Technology Evaluation & Development) Series - CalHR. The documents you submit in your application package must highlight how you meet the MQs. If the MQs are not met, you will not be considered for this position.
Hybrid and Telework Employees: Teleworking is only available for employees who reside in California. You must be relocated to California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date.

Working Conditions
The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. This position is remote-centered, which means the incumbent works 50 percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. Occasional travel may be required to attend in person meetings or events at headquarters in Sacramento, which will be at your personal expense.
