HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated entry-level Document Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Document Controller responsibilities:

  • Integrating the client’s document control and submittal requirements with Hitachi practices, assisting the teams when needed to be compliant and consistent
  • Understanding using Hitachi PDM tools such as Teamcenter to:
  • sign off on documents within a review workflow
  • help projects set up project organization by creating planned parts and documents
  • create transmittals to record submittal to and from client documentation
  • help users understand the tool and PDM process
  • Reviewing documents in Microsoft Word and Excel to match project specific templates and follow revision standards and (aiding in the formatting as needed) and creating PDFs with specific tracked changes requirements.

Essential Technical skills:

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply lessons learned
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools (with emphasis in Word)
  • Cooperate in a professional manner with coworkers inside and outside of Shared Services or any specific project
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Motivated attitude with a desire to succeed.
  • Process oriented

Education:
Minimum of a 2 year degree in business-related field
