The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Fire Protection Operations Specialist to join the team in North Charleston, SC.
Boeing is looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Protection Operations Specialist to join a team of experts focused on supporting the mission to protect company people, property, and information. You will utilize standard processes, tools, and templates required to enable a compliant and robust program. The primary focus of the program is to enable effective preparation for, and efficient response to, emergencies and disasters in order to save lives, and reduce property loss.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Current National Registry or South Carolina State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 1 Certification
  • State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 2 Certification
  • Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends
  • Current valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
  • 1+ years of experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment
  • Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Certification
  • Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) Certification

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically, 1 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs assigned firefighting and emergency response activities within established protocols and standard procedures
  • Responds to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations by operating specialized tools, equipment and apparatus dependent on emergency type
  • Completes the appropriate course of action within the scope of qualifications
  • Conducts inspection of fire protection equipment or systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable standards and company procedures
  • Completes appropriate documentation
  • Supports external training for emergency preparedness and safety skills to meet regulatory requirements
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
