Job Requirements:

  • DEC or Bachelor in Fashion Design or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Keen sense of fashion, trends and pop culture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and disposition
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

ALDO Group‘s wholesale (APS) division is an industry-recognized wholesale distributor and third-party sourcing provider of fashion footwear, handbags and accessories. ALDO Product Services (APS) has branded wholesale, private label and brand management partnerships with some of the largest retailers in the world.
The Associate Designer possesses the technical and creative skills to support the execution of product design. Furthermore, he/she is able to understand each client in order to tailor the designs to their specific needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Design team with CADs, prints and graphics as well as any in house design tasks
  • Partner with the design team to execute seasonal design projects from conception to prototype phase. This will include designing and creating technical specification packages for footwear collections as well as correcting prototypes
  • Assist in creating sourcing packages for overseas vendors including materials/trims/hardware and details
  • Supports in researching, gathering and analyzing trends for team meetings
  • Organize and update presentation boards and assist in preparation for meetings
