Description:

The Red Hat OpenShift Experiences UI team is looking for a front end developer to join the Managed OpenShift console offerings. In this role, you will develop UI components using React JS primarily to support the user experience vision of our interaction designers. You’ll need to be both creative and self-motivated, proficient in building web applications, and able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment. The primary area of expertise for this position is React JS and its associated frameworks (ie. TypeScript, Redux, REST API, CSS, JSX, HTML, etc).

What you will do

  • Implement UIs with clean, responsive, and accessible Javascript, Typescript, HTML or CSS as needed to support the design vision
  • Work with UX designers and researchers to bring UI designs from concept to implementation through rapid prototyping and evaluation of design ideas
  • Work with the supporting development teams to gather information about system APIs and help shape the data that is available for UI consumption
  • Consider an end-to-end user experience that spans product onboarding, usage, and support
  • Collaborate with peer developers, designers, and product management during brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with designers during brainstorming, design reviews, and iteration of UI improvements
  • Iterate with the team to improve your solutions

What you will bring

  • Collaborative approach to front-end software development with experience building web applications using React JS, Redux, REST, and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with development tools like Git or Webpack
  • Great communication and collaboration skills, with a solid attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, languages, and systems

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with development tools like TypeScript, Git, webpack, JUnit, and Cypress
  • Experience with agile development and open source projects
  • Familiarity or interest with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms in general
  • Familiarity with Golang

The salary range for this position is $72,080.00 - $115,290.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
