Under the direction of the Recovery Analytics, Engineers & Specialists Division Chief, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs a variety of analytical and administrative duties relating to the provision of federal and state disaster assistance grant programs within the Cal OES Recovery Operations Directorate. The Recovery Analytics, Engineers, & Specialists Division AGPA performs a broad range of analytical tasks relating to financial, programmatic, and administrative requirements, including (but not limited to) database and spreadsheet management, dashboard creation and maintenance, trend analysis, and special projects.
The incumbent must be able to logically and creatively analyze and resolve governmental/administrative problems of an average complexity; gather and analyze data to develop and evaluate alternatives for a variety of administrative and program related areas, making recommendations to management on those alternatives; communicate effectively orally and in writing, and function in an environment with demanding and changing priorities. The incumbent will work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a standard workload and responding to frequent short-term tasks.

Working Conditions
This position is located in the Engineers and Specialist Unit in Mather.
Training and Development (T&D) assignments are temporary assignments to provide an employee training and experience to move to a different occupational field. A T&D assignment is a formal agreement between the employee, the current supervisor, and the new supervisor. The duration of agreements can vary in length but shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.
Conflict of Interest: This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
