Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) and Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst is responsible for the development, outreach, and monitoring of discrimination prevention/equal opportunity training and compliance for traditional apprenticeship programs; conducts research and analysis, and uses independent judgment and discretion to interpret and apply statutes, regulations, policies and procedures to specific situations.
The AGPA also compiles and reports findings as well as documenting the outcomes of training initiatives, tracking progress and preparing reports for management and relevant agencies.
The AGPA plays a crucial role in ensuring that traditional apprenticeship programs promote diversity, prevent discrimination, and provide equal opportunities to all participants to create a fair and inclusive working environment within these programs.

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting that is an air conditioned, multiple floor building with elevator access, and contains cubicles with natural and artificial lighting. May be required to work from other locations throughout California as needed including working from home if provided with proper office equipment. Typical office tools include computer, printer/copy/scan/fax machines, stapler, hole punch, filing; being in a stationary position for long periods of time and/or driving; typical office/vehicle noise and/or vibration; may encounter inclement weather.
