THIS IS A STATEWIDE RECRUITMENT. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE HEADQUARTERED IN THE COUNTY NEAREST THEIR RESIDENCE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES: Butte, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Ventura Counties.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), Grants Analyst will:

  • Manage and lead the more complex and difficult activities related to the development and implementation of grant projects.
  • Provide support to the Services Manager II.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including executives, external stakeholders, and consultants.
  • Function as a highly skilled, technical program expert.
  • Independently manage large, complex enterprise-wide initiatives from inception through operation.
  • Work closely with administrative, program, and research staff on fiscal inquires with CDPH Accounting and Budget offices and control agencies on the Budget Estimate, Budget Change Proposals (BCP), and Federal Funding drills.
  • incumbent is responsible for development and analysis of monthly budget projections including analysis of budget line items.

The Office of Policy and Planning (OPP) promotes public health policy priorities and supports CDPH capabilities for community health improvement, informed policy development, research and analysis, integrated planning, decision intelligence, lean transformation, and grants management. The OPP leads comprehensive assessment, long term strategic and health improvement planning to address current and emerging cross-cutting public health and equity priorities, conducts policy analysis, monitoring and impact evaluation, cultivates partnerships with health systems, academic partners and other sectors; facilitates accountability for effective and efficient public health infrastructure funding, supports organizational capacity building to foster a culture that encourages learning continuous improvement, and empowerment of CDPH staff.
