Description:

KEY REQUIREMENTS

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR generalist roles - production environments preferable

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar), preferably in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools & HR IS system reporting and analysis (SAP preferred)
  • High attention to detail, ability to establish and handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines – critical
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • High level of interpersonal skills to build relationships and handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across levels of management
  • Experience with local unions is preferred (wage negotiations, recognition agreements, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, cross-cultural environment
  • Good knowledge of local employment / labor law
  • Experience within a multi-national would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently
  • Full Time onsite role

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a hands on and energized HR Associate Business Partner to work closely with our business in the exciting worlds of taste, scent and nutrition organization. Reporting to the Regional Director, People Services you will act as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for business leaders, through closely partnering with the business to improve their people leadership capability, team culture, talent pipeline and people development. This exciting role will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

We are searching for an Associate HR Business Partner:

  • With excellent proficiency and an innovative attitude, supporting the full scope of HR processes specifically in multicultural environments
  • Liaises and partners with line managers of her/his span of control to ensure a full understanding of their requirements and preferences regarding the HR policies and implementations
  • Helps conduct perfect quality C&B / Talent Management implementations with fair & consistent approach. Coaches her/his peer and line managers to manage and meet the requirements of Performance Appraisals / Rewarding & Merit Cycle / Succession Planning (ITR) / Career Discussions. Brings innovative & effective solutions to Organizational Design & Development expectations
  • Helps manage Industrial Relations from white & blue collar population perspective
  • Keeps track of analytical figures on a monthly basis (Turnover / Absenteeism, etc.)
  • Supports the employee engagement activities
  • Manages all SAP related transactions for her/his areas (via the Shared Service Centre)
  • Supports internal communication process in line with corporate needs & values
  • Support cost-efficiency measures of the HR team to ensure HR expenses are within budget
  • Accountability for HR Data integrity
  • Delivery of Reporting and Insight to support business decision making and future planning
  • Produce standard employee reporting for the business on a regular basis or when necessary
  • Serving as company representative for CCMA Representation
  • Supports limited Payroll activities
