TSMC Arizona is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s Human Resources Business Partner team is responsible for partnering with leadership, meeting business needs, and upholding the core values.
Job Description:
Your main responsibilities include:

General responsibility of the Human Resources Business Partner

  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management, department and director level providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual leadership coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success as well as facilitates training programs. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Ability to produce graphs, PowerPoints, tables, pivots and use spreadsheets efficiently for data organization and reporting.

  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment, and bridge cultural gaps when necessary.
  • Must work in office.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field.
  • General Human Resources work experience
  • The ability to travel to Taiwan for business trips for up to 3 months.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in Mandarin (optional).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel concepts and functions, and the ability to independently complete a range of real-world tasks.
  • Creating advanced Excel tables, charts, and formulas.
  • Strong analyst skills
  • Applying custom data layouts and formats to worksheets.
  • Managing various settings and options in workbooks.
  • Using Excel graphics to create visual data representations.
  • Ability to work in an office environment for long periods sitting, standing, and moving around.
  • Ability to work various or long hours (avg. 50 hours per week) to meet business needs when necessary.
  • Ability to lift at least up to 20 lbs. when necessary.
  • Must pass thorough background check and drug screening.
