TSMC Arizona is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s Human Resources Business Partner team is responsible for partnering with leadership, meeting business needs, and upholding the core values.
Job Description:
Your main responsibilities include:
General responsibility of the Human Resources Business Partner
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with line management, department and director level providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual leadership coaching needs.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success as well as facilitates training programs. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Ability to produce graphs, PowerPoints, tables, pivots and use spreadsheets efficiently for data organization and reporting.

- Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment, and bridge cultural gaps when necessary.
- Must work in office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field.
- General Human Resources work experience
- The ability to travel to Taiwan for business trips for up to 3 months.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in Mandarin (optional).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel concepts and functions, and the ability to independently complete a range of real-world tasks.
- Creating advanced Excel tables, charts, and formulas.
- Strong analyst skills
- Applying custom data layouts and formats to worksheets.
- Managing various settings and options in workbooks.
- Using Excel graphics to create visual data representations.
- Ability to work in an office environment for long periods sitting, standing, and moving around.
- Ability to work various or long hours (avg. 50 hours per week) to meet business needs when necessary.
- Ability to lift at least up to 20 lbs. when necessary.
- Must pass thorough background check and drug screening.
