Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The role offers the opportunity to play a key role in Brookfield’s Australian Infrastructure Investment team that invests in data, transport, midstream and utility assets across Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region from Brookfield’s infrastructure funds.
The Associate will be responsible for performing research and leading sections of financial analysis, modelling and presentations to support the development of investment strategies and identify attractive transaction opportunities. The Associate will also be responsible for executing due diligence across various opportunities, and will be involved in a range of acquisitions, divestments and asset management initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience (such as a private equity / infrastructure fund or an investment bank),
- a strong interest in infrastructure and real assets.
- the the ability to generate investment ideas that align to fund mandates (core and core-plus)
- sound commercial judgement, the ability to clearly articulate a situation, the relevant, considerations and make well-reasoned recommendation(s).
- A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture.
- a proactive, self-starter who is capable of working by themselves or as part of a larger team.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving ability, with ability to think laterally for the benefit of the division and company as a whole.
- Experience in conducting research and due diligence
