Associate Lecturer - Basic Econometrics (HE6)

This course introduces students to the econometric methods used to conduct empirical analysis in Economics and Finance. Students will learn how to estimate linear regression models with real datasets from Australia and around the world. The key topics will be illustrated with examples such as the effect of education on wages or the effect of firm profitability on CEO’s bonuses. This course is designed to provide them with the basic quantitative techniques needed to undertake applied research projects.

Job Requirement

• A Ph.D or Master’s Degree in related discipline from a reputable university or professional qualification
• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred
• 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage
• Must be available to conduct a weekly 3-hour lecture for a period of 9 weeks
• Must be available to teach classes during the day between 8.30AM and 6.30PM
