Description:

Module: MUF0091 Mathematics Unit 1: Functions and Calculus
This course explores the properties of a wide range of functions and their graphs, as well as the calculus process of differentiation. Applications of these properties and processes are an important part of this unit. In this course, students will develop the critical, logical and communicative skills to solve real world problems using higher order mathematical concepts.
Module: MUF0092 Mathematics Unit 2: Integration, Probability and Statistics
Unit 2 explores the concepts within the study of Integration, Probability Theory, Probability Distributions and Statistics. This course is a continuation of calculus from Mathematics Unit 1, as well as exploration of probability and statistics. Applications of these concepts and processes are an integral part of this unit. In this course, students will gain valuable insights into the influence of data and develop mathematical skills that can be widely applied in areas of higher order thinking. Appointed lecturers will receive ample opportunities to attend program-specific training in teaching pedagogy, individual domain areas and educational technology, as well as cross-disciplinary and customised professional development activities.
Classes are mostly conducted during the day 8.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 6.30pm.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a degree or professional qualification in the relevant discipline.
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level (including experience in delivering to students of non-English speaking backgrounds).
  • Familiar with online learning management tools

SIM Global Education is looking for associates who are dedicated, highly-motivated and possess a strong passion for teaching and shaping the minds of the young generation. Candidates are required to deliver the course content in a 5-hour lecture format on a weekly basis, facilitate group discussions and in-class presentations, as well as manage assessment marking within a given deadline. They will work closely with the unite leader based in the partner university to achieve the desired students’outcome.

Commitment:

  • 5 hours x 14 weeks
  • Able to teach day classes
