Join us in a dynamic role where you’ll shape the future of Mattel MENA through strategic implementation and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position will be hired externally through third-party agency.
Your focus will extend to driving commercial success through expert management of key accounts and strategic planning across diverse categories. Essential to your mission is the identification and acquisition of new licensees, enriching our business ecosystem.
Your success hinges on adept relationship management, both internally and externally. You’ll nurture partnerships, facilitate joint business planning, and negotiate contracts to ensure sustainable growth in licensing sales across the region. Passion, creativity, and a keen commercial acumen are essential, particularly within the realms of Sales and Licensing, ideally within Toys & FMCG sectors.
Moreover, your proficiency in product development, leveraging market trends and consumer insights, will be pivotal in crafting innovative strategies that resonate globally and locally. Agility is your ally as you seize new opportunities and forge alliances that drive Mattel MENA towards unprecedented growth and market leadership.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A background in fashion, toys or FMCG business either in buying, key account management, or commercial sales.
  • Degree level education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience within consumer products management.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Able to analyse data and construct practical conclusions and recommendations.
  • Computer literate including MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent English is essential, Arabic a plus other European languages useful.
  • Sales & marketing skills/savvy.
  • A strategic thinker who has the vision to plan and drive results and success.
  • Creative in outlook and problem solving and excited by innovation and new opportunities.
  • Able to manage change and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship building skills. Must be able to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels, support and contribute to the team as well as work autonomously.

Responsibilities:

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Orchestrating the long-term strategic vision for Mattel MENA in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Leading the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting processes, devising supplier (Licensee) strategies to drive robust growth. You’ll collaborate closely with buyers, licensees, category teams, franchise, marketing, product development, and finance.
  • Proactively managing and nurturing relationships with each licensee or distributor, fostering engagement and joint business planning.
  • Working closely with Mattel’s market and regional teams, ensuring alignment with local cultural sensitivities, holidays, and market nuances to effectively meet regional needs.
  • Sharing global, regional, and local best practices with local partners to enhance operational efficiencies and market effectiveness.
  • Cultivating relationships with regional Consumer Products (CP) teams to foster knowledge exchange and leverage best practices across the region.
    In this role, your strategic foresight, collaborative spirit, and cultural awareness will drive Mattel MENA’s success in the dynamic and competitive marketplace.
