Description:
Taconic is seeking a collaborative profile responsible for supervising Warehouse and Distribution functions across EU sites (Denmark and Germany).
We expect you to ensure timely and accurate receiving, inventory control, and distribution of materials both inter-company and to external customers.
The responsibilities include problem resolution and follow-up interaction with the Procurement department, accounts payable, suppliers and common carriers. You are a team player with the ability and flexibility to connect across functions and regions.

We are looking for a person who can;
- Learn processes and duties in Warehouse and Shipping Room areas so you can be a cross functional backup.
- Identify ideal Warehouse storage/space needs to ensure items are ordered accurately and costs are controlled.
- Champion a continuous improvement effort on processes to support Taconic’s strategies and promotes a healthy and safe work environment.
Your main tasks will be:
- Coordinates the receiving of material coming into the building(s) by vendors, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
- Supervise/direct staff as they fill orders to be shipped/delivered internally/externally as necessary.
- Oversees EU put-a-way strategies to ensure the optimal organization of products according to correct orientation and environmental capacities.
- Supervises shipping responsibilities for both live/raw material goods.
- Supervise warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees.
- Maintains cost controls to ensure departments remain within budget. Escalates any overruns with justification.
- Supports Global Transportation department by being first point of contact for supplier related transport issues/delays.
To succeed you must have:
- Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
- Experience from a similar function in an international matrix organization.
- Previous supervisory experience and know-how on motivation and coaching a team.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent people skills to develop relationships with stakeholders and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Fluency in English and Danish language.
- A genuine positive work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment and in an international setup.

You will refer to Senior Manager Global Warehouse located in the USA.
