Job Title: Associate Market Development Specialist
Location: This is an onsite role, based in any of these Life Sciences Thermo Fisher offices in Europe: Milan (Italy), Darmstadt (Germany), Inchinnan (Scotland), Paris (France), Madrid (Spain), Stockholm (Sweden)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday core hours will be between 8am and 5pm
The Associate Regional Market Development Specialist transforms business strategy into encouraging regional marketing that crafts customer value, revenue, and growth.
The important partners for this role are the Global Market Development team and other internal teams who will collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to develop and implement the strategies across the Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) portfolio.
The Regional Marketing Specialist will enable and activate the commercial team and guide efficient management and support of channels at local levels through effective teamwork and execution in the region. This person will also enable our commercial and distributor organizations to deliver EMEA Marketing revenue and achieve business financial goals.

EDUCATION

A marketing degree or qualification is required.
A qualification in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Proven molecular research market development experience and knowledge of key market players, products, and customer needs.
Marketing /sales background and a demonstrable ability to efficiently implement marketing/sales plans to drive revenue growth
Experience working in cross-functional teams and operating within a matrix organization to achieve goals.
Consistent track record meeting ambitious objectives and developing strong working relationships

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Proven understanding of Life Science markets, with knowledge of competitors. CE or NGS sequencing commercial or marketing experience is a plus.
Interaction with final customers and commercial teams to draw insight

Responsibilities:

The role is to deploy adapted global campaigns/programs and develop regional activities that build awareness, create the opportunity funnel, and follow its progression and related activities to drive conversion to wins. Driving impactful marketing activities that consolidate Thermo Fisher Scientific CE leadership with customers is key to this role.
Demonstrate insights into our customers, and how our capabilities address their business-critical needs. Position campaigns with a “customer-first” point of view.
In the Regional Marketing Team, we work closely with global marketing, regional marketing, and sales teams, on marketing program development and implementation.

Our key role is to develop and realize the EMEA marketing strategy & plan. Analyze marketing performance and adjust campaigns to deliver against incremental revenue goals, accelerating demand in the EMEA region,

  • Optimally launch new products (NPI) to customers and partners to achieve revenue targets, aligning with product management and commercial managers.
  • Partner with our Marketing Operations team to deploy campaigns and tactical plans, improving the breadth of marketing channels.
  • Enable our sales channels (direct and channel partners) by providing impactful marketing, tools, and training to achieve financial and campaign goals.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership and perform detailed analysis & reporting around business performance, customers, markets, and segments
  • Be responsible for the regional portfolio tasks for a section of our CE instruments, consumables, and software, collaborating with Commercial and Global teams
  • Lead your marketing budget, ensuring marketing activities achieve expectations
