Responsibilities:

The Emergency Department is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the nursing leadership team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. As a key leadership position, the ANUM will support the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day management of the unit and will work with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of patient care.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will:

  • Be a professional role model and mentor cultivating a positive team environment
  • Demonstrated a high standard of clinical knowledge, assessment skills and commitment to clinical excellence.
  • Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with experience in managing difficult circumstance.
  • Engagement with all key stakeholders to ensure the best clinical outcome and experience for patients and their families.
  • Demonstrated appetite for innovation and change while practicing within the Mercy core values.
  • Working a rotating roster (AM, PM and Night Duty)
