ASSOCIATE NURSE UNIT MANAGER – CORONARY CARE UNIT (CCU) – KNOX PRIVATE HOSPITAL

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne’s east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
  • Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required
  • Mentoring of staff
