Description:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an energetic, forward-thinking Associate/Staff Level Hydrogeologist to join our growing team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate has a desire to make a positive impact on the environment by working on investigation, remediation monitoring, and compliance projects. If you love doing research and technical writing but also enjoy rolling up your sleeves and doing field work, then this position might be for you. You will also need to be a quick learner and self-motivated, embrace teamwork, and be driven by a desire to grow and develop professionally.
Our typical environmental service projects include site investigation, remediation, spill response and real estate due diligence services for commercial, municipal and industrial clients.
Solid waste projects include landfill design, construction, monitoring and maintenance, and closure for private, municipal, and electric utility clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in geoscience or hydrogeology required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience required, 2+ years preferred. Relevant experience may include groundwater data analysis, groundwater statistical evaluation, drilling oversight, logging soil borings, collecting soil and groundwater samples, and writing technical reports. A Master’s Degree in geology or hydrogeology can be a substitute for experience.
- Experience with GIS and/or database management preferred.
- Experience with federal and state regulatory interpretation and compliance preferred.
- Experience with groundwater monitoring system design, implementation, and monitoring for landfills, industrial, or commercial sites preferred.
- Experience with and/or interest in Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other property transaction due diligence services
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Excellent oral and written (technical) communication skills required.
