We’re looking for an Associate Partner Development Manager to join our team in Auckland. As an Associate Partner Development Manager, you’ll be key in forging new strategic partnerships to drive business growth and strengthen Lightspeed’s brand for our Retail and Restaurant Products in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). You’ll deeply understand the hospitality and retail industries, along with our partners’ goals, products, and technology. In this role, you will be responsible for attracting new partners, maintaining a strong pipeline, and supporting Lightspeed’s thriving partner network. The ideal candidate for this role is a problem-solver who excels at creating lasting partnerships that deliver great results.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the development of a strong Lightspeed Partner community in APAC, focusing on retail and hospitality sectors.
  • Shape and execute partnership development strategies, identifying and prospecting new partners aligned with Lightspeed’s goals.
  • Manage inbound and outbound partner outreach, including website leads and industry event connections, to expand the partner network.
  • Oversee partner onboarding, training, integration, and go-to-market strategies, from contract negotiation to implementation.
  • Evaluate and drive market share growth, increase brand awareness, and boost sales for Lightspeed products.
  • Provide regular reporting and forecasting to keep leadership and partners informed.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Lightspeed’s product suite, assisting partners in applying solutions for retail and hospitality operations.

What you need to bring:

We’re looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Prior sales experience in software sales (retail or restaurant software experience is a bonus but not needed)
  • Proven experience in prospecting and outbound sales, from initiating discovery meetings to negotiating contracts and onboarding.
  • Ability to manage strategic relationships across various levels of organisations, including product, technology, support, and business.
  • Good understanding of partner channel dynamics, from strategy to sales and implementation.
