OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

Load: full time (reduction negotiable).
Purpose Area: Ministry (focussing on developing leaders across multiple departments like Sunday Gatherings and Kids)
Focus Area: Kids (oversee and train teams)
The Associate Pastor will take responsibility for shaping our strategies, training leaders and recruiting volunteers to help our Sunday Gatherings and Kids ministries be as effective as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Grow as a disciple of Jesus and help others grow as disciples
• Uphold, model and teach the Beliefs, Values and Culture of the church
• Focus the Vision and Strategic priorities of the church by applying them to our Sunday Gatherings and Kids Ministries
• Recruit, train and oversee volunteer team leaders and team members (and build amongst them a culture of love, support and encouragement)
• Oversee all relevant pathways and systems - making them more effective, and/or developing new initiatives as necessary
• Ensure all volunteers comply with safe ministry requirements
• Effectively manage church resources by operating according to the budget
• Develop the specific skills essential for leading this ministry
