Job Description Summary:
The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is multifaceted and encompasses guidance to employees and managers in all HR-related procedures with focus on process improvement and adhoc and standard reporting. The role provides substantive support in execution and delivery of the full range of HR Operational and transactional matters to Rocket Software’s employees, managers and HR colleagues. The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is the first point of contact for managers, employees and junior HR associates who require HR assistance and helps the employee navigate the various facets of HR policies, procedures and departments. The role will lead and manage key assigned HR operations projects to improve the quality of service to Rocket’s internal customers and help leaders and managers leverage Rocket’s HR resources more efficiently.

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is the first point of contact for managers, employees and junior HR associates who require HR assistance and helps the employee navigate the various facets of HR policies, procedures and departments. The role will lead and manage key assigned HR operations projects to improve the quality of service to Rocket’s internal customers and help leaders and managers leverage Rocket’s HR resources more efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to a wide variety of complex HR-related email and telephone inquiries and requests from employees and managers. Range of topics include benefits, absence, immigration applications, policy interpretation, employee verification, and data changes. Handles escalated, complex or highly ambiguous questions, and partners with COE teams when appropriate
  • Acts as the liaison between HRIS, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence
  • Acts as the go-to HR Operations Associate for complex questions and/or issues
  • Leads key HR Operations projects from beginning to end; ensures deadlines are met, and projects are managed to completion and have successful outcomes
  • Works across the organization to streamline HR processes, policies, and systems; provides training guides and training related to HR self-service
  • May partner with HRBPs or independently handle and manage less complex employee relation issues
  • Coaches supervisors and or line managers on employee relations issues and behaviors to enable personal growth/insight
  • Manages all aspects of the onboarding procedure including the new hire orientation (NEO) and onboarding (NHO) ensuring that the new hire’s experience meets the values and expectations of Rocket Software.
  • Works with line managers to complete all aspects of the offboarding procedure (including exit interviews where required) whilst ensuring 100% compliance with both company policies and local country legislation. Analyzes data from exit interview surveys, identifies trends and makes recommendations to HRBPs and HR leaders
  • Creates specialized reports on request and customizes standard reports for targeted audience as needed related to headcount, turnover data, exit interviews, etc. Analyzes data to identify trends, identify opportunity for process improvements and presenting to HR Business Partners and COEs
  • Communicates and interprets complex Human Resources-related policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations for employees and managers.
  • Lead employee file audits (e.g., Immigration - I-9, Employee Agreements, etc.) to ensure a high-quality standard is maintained as well as 100% compliance with all applicable legislation.
  • Works closely with Talent Acquisition and Rocket Employees to ensure all required documentation is accessible to demonstrate Rocket Software maintains compliance with local immigration legislation and incorporates best practice to track all documentation relating to foreign nationals. In addition, supports all administration aspects in support of Rocket’s global immigration program including liaising directly with Rocket’s external immigration partners where appropriate. Responsibility for the administration of the international mobility process including generating travel, invitation letters, etc.
  • In collaboration with Rocket’s HR Benefits Team, supports FMLA, LOA cases to ensure a smooth and legal transition on to and return from leave. Communicate employee rights and Rocket’s leave process to both employee and managers. Tracks all required information; follow all FMLA/LOA regulations ensuring Rocket is compliant.
  • Participate in complex HR-related projects as a project team member or leader. This includes, but is not limited to, software implementation, roundtables, process design. May lead project of more broad scope and complexity
  • Develops and implements policies, processes and/or handbook revisions

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Support, HR Coordinator/Specialist, HR Operations or related work experience
  • Ability to demonstrate solid expertise related to HR administration including a solid understanding of best practice, policies and procedures, ideally in an international setting
  • Exhibits effective English language and communication skills (written and verbal) and ideally one other language
  • Demonstrates use of initiative and identifies lasting solutions to problems and issues as they arise
  • Ability to work independently as well as being part of a global, diverse team
  • Ability to lead and manage large scope projects from beginning to end
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and experience of working with HCM systems (Workday experience a plus)
  • An adaptable, flexible team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Experience in working in a confidential environment and building strong and effective working relationships both internally within HR and with internal clients
  • High level of influence within the organization to gain “buy-in” with regards to key HR Operations projects, policies or programs

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field
Travel Requirements:

The base salary range for this role is $58,838.00 - $73,547.50 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
