Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new position to support the Cardiac Rhythm management team at Bradford Royal infirmary. Ideally this would be suitable for someone who is passionate about healthcare science and the use of technology to improve patient treatment and care.
You must have an understanding of cardiac physiology, especially the conduction system and ideally at degree level. You must also be IT literate and be able to problem solve. Excellent communication skills will be essential as you will be the point of contact for patients and be responsible for explaining to them how to use the technology.
If you love science and technology, enjoy working with patients and their families, and have attention to detail then this is the post for you.
You will be trained to undertake 12 lead ECG’s and ambulatory ECG analysis as well as assisting outpatient clinics and ensuring that databases are kept up to date with accurate information. You will have responsibility for ensuring that patients are issued with devices to remotely monitor the function of their pacemaker or other implanted device, and interpreting the information obtained in that way.
