As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for an Associate Principal Architect to join one of our exciting projects in the Middle East based out of Dubai, UAE. The candidate will play a crucial role in our design team, contributing to the development of extraordinary architectural solutions that push the boundaries of traditional design, and work closely with our project team and collaborate with other architects, designers, and engineers to create iconic, sustainable, and technically advanced designs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Architect certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in architectural design and management, preferably within a consultancy or an Architecture design firm environment.
  • Middle East Experience is a MUST.
  • Experience in detailing and construction technologies
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Grasshopper.
  • Strong visualization skills and showcasing a solid design portfolio accross a diverse range of projects, design concepts, and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex design ideas to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Thorough understanding of architectural principles, building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality architectural designs on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture and design.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design process for engineering projects, from initial concept development to detailed design and construction documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints, ensuring alignment with design goals and project scope.
  • Develop creative and innovative design concepts that respond to client needs, site conditions, regulatory requirements, and sustainability principles.
  • Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and vision.
  • Lead design charrettes, workshops, and presentations to facilitate collaboration, obtain feedback, and drive consensus among project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to integrate architectural design with engineering disciplines and ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and reviews to monitor progress, address design issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, and reports to support project delivery and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
