THE OPPORTUNITY

As our success and growth continues across Australia, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly experienced Associate/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in New South Wales. You can be based in our new Sydney or Newcastle offices, a proportion of home working, or a mixture of all three. A Brisbane base is also a possibility for the right candidate.
We are looking for an individual with a strong focus on technical report writing and people and project management.

While providing leadership, delivering technically, and driving the growth within the established Geotech teams, you will have the opportunity to progress to a 2IC position under our National Geotechnical Lead, interfacing with teams in Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide, part of our national contaminated land and geotechnical leadership team with the opportunity to develop your career into a national leadership role.
Reporting to the National Leader / Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will assume a leadership position in contributing to the technical leadership of our geotechnical service line. You will be managing a variety of geotechnical projects, working within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and business development professionals.

The following key responsibilities will be expected from a candidate considered for this role:

  • Provide technical direction of geotechnical proposals and reports, including peer review and co-authoring of more complex deliverables.
  • Project management including co-ordination of internal resources, contractor management, budget management and client relationships.
  • Provide development and mentoring opportunities for the geotechnical group to grow and expand skills and technical capabilities of the team.
  • Interface with clients and help our National Business Development manage grow the geotechnical service line.
