Description:
The Department of Mathematics at Aarhus University - an international top-100 University - seek candidates, characterized by excellence and vision in their research, for an Associate Professor position in Mathematical Analysis or Probability Theory or both. In particular, we would like to encourage applications from researchers covering one or more of the following research areas: Stochastic Processes and Markov Semigroups, Stochastic and Deterministic Partial Differential Equations, Representation Theory for Topological Groups and Lie Groups, Analysis in Geometric Group Theory, and Harmonic Analysis.
The position is open from 1 January 2025.
The Department of Mathematics currently employs 33 permanent scientific staff members in the traditional disciplines, Algebra, Analysis, Geometry and Topology, Probability Theory as well as in Statistics, Data Science and Operations Research.
