Job Description:
Performance Contracting is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Raleigh operations based in Durham, NC.
The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It’s a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conduct safety meetings
  • Create and manage punch lists
  • Support the Quality Control Measures outlined in the QA/QC program
  • Prepare RFI’s and submittals
  • Do labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Support the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinate warranties and O&M’s
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Construction Science, or comparable work experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadline

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • OSHA Certification
  • Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs
