WORK TASK

As an Associate Project Manager, you will assist ABB Oy Marine & Ports Project Mangers in Azipod© Propulsion new building delivery projects. In this position, you will learn project leadership by working with ABB project teams. You will be working mainly with shipyards and ship owners to ensure customer satisfaction and ABB’s delivery promise to its customers. This ole reports to Head of Operations, Marine Propulsion.
Work is mainly done in office hours from Monday to Friday and your working hours are 37,5 per week. Flexibility with working hours is needed. Office is in Helsinki Vuosaari with hybrid working model.

Your responsibilities

• Assisting the Project Managers in leading and motivating the project team
• Planning and scheduling of the project together with our Project Managers with clear project plan and schedule for scope & deliverables, finances, and risk & opportunities management
• Assisting the Project Managers in project execution and control regarding the finances, progress, and efficiency; and contractual obligations using the best practices and lessons learned.
• Assisting the Project Managers in contract, claims and procurement management in accordance to ABB policies and contracts
• Assisting the Project Managers in stakeholder relations with internal and external customers and actively communicating internally and externally on the project status and planned actions
• Assisting the Project Managers on HSE items ensuring that projects comply with ABB’s values and policies.
