The Associate Project Manager will be part of the Cerenovus R&D team in Galway, Ireland; an exciting group of engineers and scientists dedicated to understanding unmet needs in neurovascular diseases (such as stroke) and developing innovative device solutions to improve their treatment.

EDUCATION:

Honours degree or higher in Engineering, Science or similar.

Responsibilities:

The Associate Project Manager will be key in coordinating and overseeing Cerenovus Medical Device Product development projects. The role entails leading project teams through planning, execution, and closure of projects. By collaborating closely with other team members, facilitating communication, and addressing challenges that arise during the project’s life cycle, the Associate Project Manager will keep projects on track, delivering value for the Cerenovus Business in line with design and development project governance requirements. Below is a list of typical responsibilities for an associate project manager:

  • Implement project and team structures to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Gain cross-functional agreement for the regulatory pathway for project approvals and updates.
  • Develop integrated project plan and provide inputs for annual project budget.
  • Identify core skills required in the development team and work with the Cerenovus functional leaders to build a team that is best suited for each phase of the project.
  • Ensure the technical development team is focused on the key project requirements.
  • Coordinate project deliverables for global teams with team members located in multiple international locations.
  • Monitor the completion of quality and regulatory documentation and ensure that it gets completed and submitted on time.
  • Manage the team through problems as they arise during the project and determine if they are focused on the correct problems, managing the flow of work throughout the project by facilitating decisions on priority tasks.
  • Maintain team cohesiveness and direction to make sure everyone is working together to achieve the same goals.
  • Manage the communication within the development team through day-to-day project deliverables.
  • Communicate project progress to the Business leadership, escalating risks that cannot be resolved at the team level when they arise and propose mitigation steps.
  • Report key project performance indicators (milestone tracking, budget, risks, etc.) to Leadership weekly and monthly.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Help the team with risk management and manage scope creep.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality management system and address compliance issues when they arise.
  • Working closely with Quality Assurance, guide the project through the various stage gates of development and through design reviews.
