What you’ll be doing
The Associate focuses on supporting our Communications and Public Affairs team through internal communications to our broader CIBC team, and enhancing and protecting CIBC’s reputation through support for select media and public relations activities. In this support role, you will have an opportunity to contribute your skills to help manage volumes during peak periods, and help our team execute against our role in our bank’s strategy through clear messaging and strong execution.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Draft, review, and publish key internal communications for our CIBC team, supporting both specific business units and enterprise wide messaging on key initiatives.
  • Support external communications where required through drafting news releases or media advisories, including contributing to CIBC’s flagship community investment initiatives.
  • Work closely with colleagues in managing key aspects of our social media presence for key executives.
  • Provide strong, consistent support on execution for events, including developing remarks and tactical planning.
