Responsibilities:
QIC’s Private Equity team manages A$8.5 billion globally in venture capital, growth equity and private equity via funds, co-investments and direct investments on behalf of government, superannuation and institutional investors. The 23-person Private Equity team is split across Brisbane, Sydney, San Francisco, London and Copenhagen.
The Associate role within the QIC Private Equity (QPE) team will be based in Brisbane and will join the Asia Pacific Investment Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the investment activities of the Asia Pacific team via investment due diligence across funds, co-investments and direct deals, particularly within the venture capital ecosystem.
- Conducting research projects across investment thematics, geographies and industry trends to support investment decisions.
- Developing presentations for the Investment Team, Investment Committee and clients.
- Monitoring and reporting of investments through data collection, aggregation and analysis, utilising QPE’s investment and portfolio management systems.
- Providing support and input to QPE’s climate investment mandate, including investment activity and monitoring.
- Interfacing with other QIC teams, including ESG, for the development of tools and resources to support QIC’s ESG and climate commitments.
- Supporting investment due diligence exercises.
- Assisting with various financial, operational, and research projects.
