Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to use the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.
This role will work fully on-site with our client in Rixensart, Belgium.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • PhD in Life Sciences with previous postdoctoral or pharmaceutical industry experience, or Master’s degree with extensive previous experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Wide expertise in Molecular Biology, recombinant protein expression and protein biochemistry
  • Additional experience in laboratory automation, microbiology and/or immunology is an advantage
  • Fluent in English is essential (oral and writing) and fluency French (oral and writing) is highly desirable
  • Result-oriented, rigorous and structured.
  • Dynamic, positive, and curious. Open to change/able to easily adapt to changes in the workplace

Responsibilities:

As an Associate Research Scientist you will support recombinant protein expression activities and will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and completing the expression strategy
  • Implement new technologies.
  • Timely data generation
  • May supervise/train in technician and other scientists in laboratory/scientific techniques.
  • Active participation and presentation of lab results in internal meetings, ensuring quality interpretation and extensive quality check of raw data.
  • Ensure highest ethical standards, good scientific practices & data integrity are implemented in daily scientific activities.
  • Participate to weekly lab meetings.
