We are now looking for a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Strain Engineering Team at FMC’s Pheromones Plant Health Division based in Central Copenhagen but is expected to move into new laboratories at our European Innovation Centre in Hørsholm, Denmark in 2025.
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- BSc or MSc in biotechnology, microbiology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques.
- Experience in cultivating microorganisms and using analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and LC-MS.
- Hands-on experience with automated platforms is an advantage.
- Strong communication, intercultural, and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-performing yeast strains using molecular biology techniques.
- Conduct small-scale cultivation with manual and automated screening.
- Document results in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems.
- Evaluate and improve experimental methods and workflows.
- Assist with laboratory and equipment maintenance, adhering to FMC’s high safety standards.
