Description:

SCOPE

Contributes to key elements of strategic development for projects within R&D
Directly participates in the delivery of discovery projects, positively impacting the portfolio
Presents unsolicited ideas to supervisor and/or team leader
Works with greater autonomy and independently interprets data and proposes next steps
Exchanges information and communicates efficiently

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the generation of high quality data in support of discovery activities, NME readiness and NME declaration
  • Provides functional developability support from HTL to LLO using state-of-the-art tools and approaches
    Performs analytical testing using (but not necessarily limited to): HPLC, DSC, TGA, PXRD, PSD analysis, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, microscopy

Designs, develops and produces fit-for-purpose formulations (conventional and enabling) for pre-clinical studies

  • Conduct developability assessment to support small molecule discovery efforts (solubility, stability, solid state characterization and other related studies)

Ensures that laboratory equipment is functioning appropriately. In cases of malfunction or scheduled PM, coordinate with ELIS or directly with the vendors

  • Provides timely updates to supervisor, team leads or site leader
  • Be a point of contact for discovery chemistry, NCS, DMPK or Biology in support of analytical testing and formulation support

Proposes and develops innovative ideas to enhance capacity and capability of the team

QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of and working according to Environment, Safety & Health rules
    Works under DDI principles
    Qualifications
    BS or MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or proven equal experience, with a strong understanding of Pharmaceutical Development and Analytical Sciences.
    English: Advanced knowledge
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
