SUMMARY OF POSITION:

You’ll be a member of our fast-growing Private Equity, M&A and Tax ( PEMAT ) practice and responsible for supporting the team to deliver M&A insurance solutions, such as Warranty & Indemnity, Tax and Contingent Risk Insurance, to the highest levels of client satisfaction. The role is based in Singapore, but you will be an integral part of the regional team and working on M&A transactions across Asia-Pacific.

• Assist senior PEMAT team members on the placement of M&A insurance solutions by co-ordinating the placement process, including production of documentation throughout the risk life cycle
• Undertake in-depth analysis on client transactions to understand potential risks associated with the transaction to assist in advising on appropriate M&A insurance solutions
• Provide strategic advice to M&A clients and advisors (including lawyers, financial advisors etc.) on how M&A insurance solutions can be introduced to transaction processes to achieve their objectives
• Support in negotiations with insurers on policy wordings to create bespoke M&A solutions according to clients’ needs
• Administer new proposals including engagement documentation, compliance checks and adhering to BMS internal policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain an active role/relationship with clients and insurers, by assisting with marketing and business development activities and initiatives
• Maintain and organise PEMAT material templates
• Prepare submissions and assist in handling of M&A insurance claims
• Keep the team up to date with relevant M&A news and updates in the market
• Adhere to internal and regulatory policies and procedures
• Adhere to mandatory training requirements
• Adhere to financial reporting requirements, including monthly phasing of income
• Any other duties that may be reasonable be requested
