Genesys Cloud processes millions of contact center interactions daily. Recording is a key feature set that allows interactions to be securely recorded, stored, accessed, and managed. Quality Management (QM) leverages the recordings to provide insight into the quality of the interactions through manual and AI-assisted evaluations, allowing the overall contact center experience to be improved through agent evaluation and coaching.
As an Associate Software Developer on the Recording and QM Team, you will be using your technical expertise to deliver new features and drive continuous improvement of existing services. You will work in a fast-paced environment that supports continuous change, innovation, and experimentation. You will work with both established and cutting-edge technologies like Java, JavaScript, React, Python, Kafka, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS Lambda, and various other AWS services to build on our microservices architecture.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Develop and maintain cloud applications built on top of AWS infrastructure.
• Implement high-quality new features that are scalable, available, and reliable.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Support other activities in the development lifecycle including requirement gathering, architecture review, testing, and documentation.
• Support production environment through handling support inquiries and addressing production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1 year work experience in backend Java development.
• Experience with Unix operating environments (Linux, macOS).
• Ideally experience with AWS or cloud application development.

Technology Stack

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Python.
• Frontend: JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React/Redux, Knockout.
• Amazon Web Services: EC2, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kafka, ElastiCache (Redis), SQS.
• Those interested in this role must be located in the greater Toronto area and willing to come into the office 1-2 times a week in downtown Toronto.
