Associate Software Engineer (Python/Java/React.js)

TECH SKILLS

We use a broad range of tools, languages and technologies. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Background in building and deploying Java (API) or Python (data science) based apps.
• Experience in front end technologies like React.js, Node.js etc.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI etc
• Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks such pytest, junit, cucumber etc
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including building infrastructure using CloudFormation, CDK, etc.
• Knowledge of Dev-Sec-Ops principles and tools such as GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub Actions, Synk, Checkmarx etc.
• Understanding of RDBMS systems and cloud data warehouses like Redshift & snowflake
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration frameworks like Amazon ECS, EKS or similar
• Knowledge of Capital Markets and associated risks will be considered highly advantageous.

• Apply software engineering principles and practices in programming technologies and platforms to achieve business outcomes, while building out core technology and domain knowledge required to be effective.
• Collaborate within the team to apply the principles of design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation.
• Develop high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate as member of software development team with minimal supervision and occasional guidance.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other non-technical members of the team.
• Contribute to support and technical troubleshooting activity.
