Description:

Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings, and we have recently launched a new system that will revolutionise how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is part of the Medical Devices division. Our Witney facility is a Global Centre of Excellence for the development and manufacture of medical devices and produces innovative blood glucose monitoring systems for people with Diabetes.
Within our R&D team we have an exciting opportunity for a Statistical SAS Programmer to join us at the forefront of diabetes care innovation. This varied role will be to provide programming support to assist in the development and improvement of products including laboratory and clinical trials.

Specific duties will include:

  • Providing SAS programming support to clinical projects
  • Writing of SAS code to support automation of analysis and reporting
  • Supporting, developing and validating software using the System Life Cycle (SLC),

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate of Statistics, Maths or Computing to launch their career in Programming, and a degree level qualification in one of these fields is required. Preference will be given to those who have undertaken a year in industry as part of their studies, or offer similar work based experiences.
You must also have an organised approach to your work, with excellent attention to detail. The role will involve collaborating with different people within the department. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and team-working skills, in addition to your technical knowledge and ideally experience of SAS.
