Description:
The key accountabilities are not limited to but may include:
- Apply quantitative processes to assist in the selection of alternative investments, ensuring rigorous analysis and informed decision-making.
- Monitor the performance of existing investments, maintaining and managing relationships within our alternatives managers to ensure ongoing alignment with investment objectives.
- Perform detailed analyses to respond to client queries related to portfolio composition and performance, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Support portfolio rebalancing activities and manage cash flows as needed to maintain optimal portfolio performance and liquidity.
- Keep up-to-date with trends in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and socially responsible investing, understanding their implications for capital markets research and portfolio construction.
- Communicate research findings effectively, both internally and externally, to ensure stakeholders are well-informed
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking an Associate Strategist to join our State Investments team based in Brisbane on a on an open term, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Investment Director, this role involves active participation in the State Investment team’s analysis and manager selection of hedge funds and other alternatives. Our team uses a mixture of research-led quantitative and qualitative assessments to make collaborative investment decisions - the role will also gain exposure to the wider range of investment research, portfolio management and client activities undertaken.
