About the Role
The Honourable Associate Justice Steffensen is seeking a legally qualified individual with post-admission experience for an expected vacancy arising in chambers after July 2024.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Associate Judges Division, observing a variety of civil matters, including interlocutory applications and trials.
Her Honour has a strong focus on the Corporations List and insolvency matters, and a variety of other civil matters arising from the Associate Judges’ Applications List. Her Honour is also the Senior Master of Funds in Court.

About You
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, research and written communication skills, personal qualities suitable for liaising with the profession and members of the public, as well as a strong academic record.
Responsibilities:
- Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge in court;
- Clerking in court; Liaising with court staff, the public and the profession;
- Legal research, proofreading and fact checking;
- Document management and file review;
- Assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing; and
- Attending judicial mediations.
