JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Systems Administrator will provide IT support to the client base, as well as employees, supplementing the company’s global presence in the IT team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as a Senior Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Mac OS environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC networking.
  • Experience with firewall configurations and network security practices.
  • Proficiency in VMware host management.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and maintenance.
  • Experience working with Windows Active Directory.
  • Embrace our IT automation (infrastructure as code) journey. Willingness to learn Git, Ansible, Terraform etc.
  • Ability to manage tasks and priorities independently.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot networking issues
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting with employees using step-by-step instructions and targeted questions.
  • Implement alternate solutions and workarounds when unable to immediately diagnose and fix the root issue.
  • Configure and manage Firewall Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  • Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMware and AWS)
  • Conduct regular maintenance and monitor performance at data centers.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff.
  • Support ISO 27001 Security related tasks for user administration, asset management, anti-virus scanning, reporting, and more.
  • Record technical issues and solutions in our ticket tracking system.
  • Ensure new hires hit the ground running by providing the required accounts, software, and hardware for their job function.
  • Manage user and office hardware inventory in asset tracking system.
  • Help create technical documentation and manuals.
  • Some off hours and weekend work as needed.
  • Address employee user issues related to PC hardware and software
