Job Description
This opportunity is part of the Global Infrastructure & Operations function in Global Technology. Reporting to the Director, Operations Excellence and working closely with the Global Technology team, the Associate Technical Consultant will anticipate and manage the strategic and tactical needs for Global Infrastructure Operations while supporting the translation of business needs into effective IT roadmap processes and technical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonald’s environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2+ years of technology capability experience across multiple IT practices that may include infrastructure leadership, service management leadership, technology operations, data management and business relationship management
  • 1-2+ years experience in partnering with senior/executive level resources to produce solutions/improvements for business operating models
  • Hands on exposure to following areas/tools:
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint especially)
  • Smartsheet
  • Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Process mapping/design (Visio, Miro, Roadmunk)
  • Familiar with best practices for problem solving operational failures
  • Strong experience in process improvement, with an emphasis on analytics and process management (prior experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds from all over the world.
  • Highly collaborative along with independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
  • Knowledge and applied experience of different process improvement frameworks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skills with Office, Microsoft Excel, stored procedures or other data tooling
  • Capability working with customers, presentations, and participating in requirements sessions.
  • Understanding of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including data requirements gathering, dataset migration, data reconciliation, and move to production.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-organizational partners, both corporate and in the market, to define requirements and resolve data issues.
  • Capable of experience mapping, transforming, and loading data from source to target software systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Help the team document and execute a standardized operational model ecosystem.
  • Identify operational gaps, measure current state performance, and execute improvement solutions.
  • Leverage analytics to help standardize ways to measure organizational efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Work with the business to upskill people across the organization, enabling stakeholders on key business differentiators across strategy execution and value cases for Infrastructure & Operations.
  • Create value through ideation of solutions and end to end implementation of process improvement/problem solving enhancements.
  • Create value realization in data driven decisions for KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics. You will help the business best understand how Infrastructure & Operations is providing value to the overall McDonald’s ecosystem.
  • Accountable for managing projects with moderate risk.
