Description:
This is a flexible position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week or working entirely remotely. #LI-Remote
We are looking for an Associate Technical Writer to help create and build out a modern documentation and user assistance infrastructure. You will be a core part of the Product team working closely with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, and Customer Enablement to create resources that help accelerate a user from novice to the power user. Customer performance is critical to Vena and the tools you will build will create a powerful impact on user adoption.
What you will do:
- Work with product managers, marketing, designers, developers, and other stakeholders, to obtain an in-depth understanding of Vena and the documentation requirements
- Produce and maintain world-class documentation, including user guides, use cases, integration guides, and UX copy (tooltips, walkthroughs, etc.)
- Build and maintain client aids beyond traditional documentation, such as online videos, guided tours, etc
- Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users at various levels
- Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability
- Act as an editor to ensure consistency across all client-facing documentation.
- Demonstrate the best-practice use of Vena functionality and administration of the application
- Continually seek opportunities to update product knowledge capabilities.
- Act in a mentorship role for junior members of the content team; provide guidance and feedback and conduct quarterly reviews
- Other duties as assigned
Does this sound like you?
- 1+ years of technical writing experience
- SaaS experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of code related to document development (e.g., HTML, XML or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with content in multiple mediums
- Experience working cross-departmentally to gather information and collaborate on projects
