YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Industriemeister Chemie / Bachelor’s degree (or related degree) in chemistry (or related field), Senior Lab Technician
• 3-5 years of experience in a chemical laboratory / chemical operations
• Project Experience
• Excellent safety practices – experience in working in a safe manner in all aspects of work according to FMC policies, procedures and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information with global internal and external partners
• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment design, scale up procedures, troubleshooting
• Knowledge of computer systems and basic office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data bases)
• Strong organization and planning skills and experience in planning daily work
• A good team player who can cooperate and collaborate with a diverse group by helping and sharing ideas and working together, assisting when others need help
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver quality results to meet tight timelines
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands

• You develop new agricultural Formulations and optimize the existing formulations with focus on the FMC Plant Health portfolio (Crop Nutrition, Seed Treatment and Biologicals)
• Laboratory work involves wet and dry chemical techniques (preparation of laboratory-scale liquid and solid formulations)
• You evaluate physical-chemical formulations to demonstrate robust performance and shelf-life
• You plan and conduct experiments in the lab, making suggestions for improvement and troubleshooting
• You treat the seeds / analyse the seed quality / prepare seed samples for field trials
• You preliminary interpret the results and write protocols & reports for assigned activities/projects
• You communicate prompt the results and analyses to the responsible chemists and/or management
• You work cross-functionally and offer technical support to the commercial teams, customers, production plants (Scale up support) and associated R&D teams
• You carry out risk assessments for the laboratory and maintain laboratory equipment
• You ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment
