WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Merchandising or related field. Master’s degree is an asset.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience (retail merchandising or strategy consulting experience preferred)
- Demonstrated success working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive change across the organization.
- Ability to deal well with ambiguity, complexity, change and pace. Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing amongst them.
- Good understanding of multi-unit retail operating models and processes for merchandising and pricing execution, to include operational support for pricing optimization activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to synthesize and simplify complex ideas into compelling presentations.
- Analytical mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop strategic frameworks and executional approaches.
- Experience in a supervisory role, managing and developing people.
- Category Management experience is a strong asset.
- Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, & related Microsoft suite products
- Travel required 20% of time, some international. Passport or travel documentation/visa required.
- Flexibility around working hours required, working with teams across time zones.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a dynamic and skilled individual, to work with the multi-functional team in advancing our Merchandising Assortment capabilities in Europe (EUR). In this role you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Tech and analytical tools, fostering the adoption of a data driven merchandising approach. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to design and deploy assortment optimization processes and analysis in EUR. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Assortment Capabilities and will be supported by the global Merchandising Capabilities team. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical mindset, strong prioritization ability and leadership skills to mobilize teams and engage key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Own and execute the roadmap and advancement of Assortment capabilities for EUR, in alignment with the Global Merchandising strategy.
- Act as a subject matter expert and product owner for European merchandising assortment capabilities, leading the development and implementation of tech and analytics tools, working closely with Global Tech, Data & Analytics, and other functional groups.
- Provide guidance to Data Science and Tech teams in the development of Assortment optimization tools and reporting. Working closely with the Assortment Project Manager in sourcing business requirements, prioritizing tasks, identifying risks and mitigation plans, monitoring progress, and providing updates to leadership.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders and Operations teams to identify testing opportunities, sharing learnings, and refine in-market execution approach.
- Collaborate with Global Functions, European Merchandising and Business Units (BU) leads to gain broader stakeholder adoption and usage of new tools and continually improve ways of working.
- Support the Assortment Capabilities team during the annual business budget planning, utilizing a data-driven approach for revenue and margin projections by BU.
- Act as Merchandising subject matter expert for merchandising Assortment, as well as participating in other major organizational projects as required.
- Act as an agent of change, championing a data driven approach for merchandising decision making, focused on assortment and Item lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising Training and Development to integrate new tools, processes, and ways of working into learning curriculum.
- Oversee, manage, and coach a business analyst.
