[What the role is]
The Sector Leadership Development (SLD) team is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of Social Service Agency (SSA) Boards and Executive Management, to help build strategic leadership abilities and bench strength toward strong SSAs that deliver effective and quality services. The team achieves this by providing sector-focused, effective, and innovative programmes that are thoughtfully designed to help Boards and Executive Management serve their best in their agencies. The team is committed to developing a strong pipeline, enhancing capability, and building a cohesive community of Board members and senior leaders.
This role conceptualises, develops, leads, and oversees Board and leadership capability development initiatives, projects and schemes. Other roles and projects may be included from time to time.

[What you will be working on]

  • Understand the Social Service landscape, target audience (Social Service Agencies, SSA Board members, Social Service Professionals, especially those in leadership positions), and Stakeholders.
  • Strategise, plan and lead the implementation of the Board Capability and Leadership Development initiatives to provide structured support to SSAs to strengthen their Board and leadership capability and capacity to provide adequate stewardship.
  • Lead and manage all Board and leadership related conversations with key stakeholder groups, both internal and external, including but not limited to CNPL, SID, Charity Council, PSD, IHLs, to build an ecosystem of support for SSAs through strengthened partnership and leveraging on each other’s strengths and services.
  • Oversee and monitor the review and streamlining of these initiatives, polices and process, and document into standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee the functioning of the team members, and motivate, engage and guide them for sustained efforts to achieve the team goals and KPIs.
  • Supports the Sector Manpower and Leadership Development Team as required.
