Wells Fargo is looking to hire an Assumption Mortgage Specialist, in our National Contact Center located in Des Moines, IA, with a focus on the Assumptions Loan Product. Our Assumption Mortgage Specialist will focus on delivering an exceptional experience for our customers through financial advice and guidance, coupled with providing the products and services, that will help them realize their financial hopes and dreams through home ownership.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in assessing customer needs through financial consultation
  • Offer products and services to prospective customers using either pre-established leads or leads sourced by incumbents to meet customer’s satisfaction
  • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of Contact Center Sales functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Act as a liaison between various functional areas and customers to reach conclusions with the customer
  • Provide information to managers, colleagues, and stakeholders related to Contact Center Sales function
  • Interact regularly with prospective customers regarding their needs, their company’s current promotions, and new products and services
  • This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the SAFE. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below

Job Expectations:

  • This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) web site (http://fedregistry.nationwidelicensingsystem.org ) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial and criminal background standards.
  • Schedule for training: In Office for 4-6 weeks, M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm CST, No Weekends
  • Schedule post training: Hybrid schedule alternating one week in the office and one week at home
