The Opportunity: The Athletics Event Planning and Development Officer Intern supports the Athletics department at Sault College. The Athletics Event Planning and Development Officer intern will be responsible for supporting partnerships and events for Athletics operations such as looking for partnerships that allow for mutual growth of current programming and future endeavors, reaching out to local partners to foster greater community collaborating in an effort to administer top-tier athletic events in Northern Ontario, drive sales of seasons tickets by implementing effective marketing strategies to appropriate demographics, assisting with the planning and implementation of the scholarship breakfast, advertising for facilities (Rink, Fitness Centre, Waterfront Adventure Centre). This position will also assist the Sports Information Coordinator with department marketing by assisting with promotion materials for existing facilities, assisting with promotional materials for existing varsity events, as well as assisting with the implementation of social media content for varsity events and offerings.
