Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Attorney will work with the litigation team in providing legal counsel to clients. The Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research; drafting documents and pleadings; communicating with clients and experts; drafting and responding to discovery; and document review. In addition, the Attorney will handle depositions, hearings, and attend trials.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:
- 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
- Florida Bar Admission
- Judicial clerkship experience or demonstrate strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess great time management and problem-solving skills.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Must meet expectations for billing goals.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Handle depositions, hearings, and attend trial.
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel.
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
- Communicate with other attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
- Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
