Description:

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant experience in account management, premium service environment, music business (record labels, publishing, artist management, etc.) or digital marketing will be a strong asset

  • Strong understanding of digital video production and programming

  • Experience in the media, music, entertainment and/or technology industry is a plus
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Ability to provide clear direction on high-quality content creation & generate creative content ideas in line with current social media trends
  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms - YouTube, Instagram, TikTok
  • Proven experience in SEO on YouTube, and/or in Google Search
  • Mastery of Office Suite (MS or Google), in particular with Word / Google Docs and Excel / Google Sheets
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven client relationship management skills
  • Ability to be both, self-directed and highly collaborative
  • Ability to track, analyze and manage data and records
  • Positive attitude fueled by ambition to drive results

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Opposition is looking for an Audience Development Specialist to join the team. If you are looking to kick-start your career with a team that works with some of the most influential names in music and online content, let’s talk!
Reporting to senior members of Opposition, you’ll gain exposure to the music industry world and support our team with the execution of marketing campaigns for our artists and digital creators. You’ll be responsible for crafting social media strategies for album/single rollouts, advising artists and creators on best social media practices, SEO tactics, and content ideas.
You’ll play an instrumental role in managing marketing rollouts for music artists across all genres & helping music creators grow their social media platforms, while collaborating with multiple departments across the business. You will also work alongside RHEI’s music division, Opposition, to drive success for artists, labels, and other music creators in the digital space.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the main social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), music industry, SEO, current social media trends, and will possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, time management skills and customer service driven attitude. Within this role, the candidate must have the ability to coordinate multiple projects, problem solve and work under pressure in a fast-paced media and technology-driven environment.
You are comfortable working in demanding environments and you are driven to make an impact. You never accept second best, have a keen eye for detail and your output remains consistent when under pressure. You understand how to reach the individual through a suitable voice and message, and bring valuable insight to the wider team. You have made a positive contribution in your previous roles and proactively made suggestions to improve tactics, and processes.
Prior professional work experience is not a mandatory requirement - what is more important is your proven experience managing and growing successful YouTube channel(s), Instagram or TikTok account(s).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop close, professional relationships with RHEI’s artists & digital creators while providing them with top-notch support, guidance and services

  • Provide ongoing YouTube/Instagram/TikTok platform growth strategy to artists & creators (e.g. channel optimization and management, analytics, branding, monetization, content ideas) to help grow their audience and increase engagement

  • Optimize artist/creator content uploads on YouTube
  • Plan and coordinate content strategies with Opposition’s marketing team, other labels, and artist management teams
  • Stay up to date on current social media trends, viral content, music industry news and music marketing tactics, and general trends in the digital video space
  • Respond to questions and concerns regarding RHEI’s products & services, YouTube copyright and community guidelines, and the YouTube platform itself in a highly responsive and attentive style
  • Regularly communicate with creators and follow up to ensure they are implementing provided growth tactics
  • Provide regular updates to management and peers on creators’ platform development, initiatives and results
  • Track and maintain up-to-date data, partner feedback, records and plans
  • Update and maintain a calendar of Audience Development sessions with RHEI’s partners
  • Track and analyze metrics and activities pertaining to your portfolio such as growth, revenue, CPMs, retention dates and services rendered
  • Develop a strong rate of retention through value-driven service and incentives
  • Track targets and KPI’s on a regular basis
  • Provide expertise in developing the documentation, marketing communications, videos and other resources relevant to YouTube and creator success
  • Ensure regular transfer of knowledge and insights to the wider Partner Experience team, as well as the Talent Management and Content Acquisition departments
